Waterford Christian Assembly is a group of Bible believing Christians who have been meeting together as a local church since February 2006. We gather together to study the Bible, pray, and worship God. We believe the Bible is God’s Word and that we have a responsibility to know what He has said and how that applies to our lives today, so we give much of our time to teaching and preaching the Bible. We are not part of any denomination, yet we are thankful for the fellowship we enjoy with many other Christians here in Waterford, around Ireland, and indeed, worldwide.

Our Leadership

We seek to follow the pattern we observe in the New Testament of a plurality of elders/overseers being established in each local church (Acts 14:23; 20:17). This provides a safeguard against both pride and false teaching.

The New Testament clearly provides the qualifications of those who God raises up to shepherd the church (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Pet. 5:1-3).

Currently we have three men sharing the leadership:

  • Wayne Howe
  • Brian Johnson
  • David Wilson
